In no way do I suggest that the ADC or any other organization which stands for Arab or Muslim people is remiss in not taking a public stand against the official story of 9/11. It is because they risk more than those of European heritage.
Every major institution in the US refuses to ask the hard questions about the central political event of our time, 9/11. Therefore, it behooves everyone whose heritage implies they WOULD want to know the truth to at least PRIVATELY ask those hard questions.
It is worthy of all who aspire to antiracist action to lovingly explore this issue with other people of good faith.

This conference justifiably honors top representatives of both wings of the progressive movement. Sadly, both the liberal Eric Holder and the radical Amy Goodman publicly stand with the official story.
Eric Holder certainly has my respect. When he first took office he challenged the American people to more fully dialogue on race. It was not something I had grown to expect from top law enforcement officials. Recently he resisted publicly acting like all Muslims were radicals.
A G Holder: Release the pentagon videos from 9/11
Over 80 unreleased videos began being commandeered by the FBI within minutes of the catastrophe.
They were suppressed in order to be used at the Zacarias Moussaoui trial, which ended 4 years ago
The only reason NOT to release them now is that they show the official story is a lie.
I actually have no strong opinion as to what the videos will show. There are people I respect who disagree on the matter. I mainly focus on the towers in New York, but this issue is unusual in that it is simple to describe. It is also under the AG's purview.
I am so convinced from the free-fall and symmetrical collapse of WTC7 without it being struck by a plane, that we no longer live in a democracy.
Since I am fond of both Obama and Holder, I will present an argument why they might hesitate to release these videos. The reason is that the Americans who were involved in 9/11 could take retribution against one or both office holders or their families.
So I have a plan B. I'm asking Holder and Obama to just watch those videos. It's not impossible for the perpetrators to phony up what is given to Holder. Also, it might be too difficult to view the videos without the real perpetrators knowing.
I'd like to be in their places, but in some ways I'm glad I'm not.
Here's another hard question for the AG.
Why is the formal state of emergency called Continuity of Government still in effect? Barack Obama gave the yearly go ahead, as GW Bush did yearly starting on 9/11 itself. I don't worry too much that Obama and Holder will round up Americans of Muslim and Arab heritage as was done to the Japanese in WWII. I sure do worry that the next version of Cheney and Rove would do so. It's also terrible that Congressman Peter DeFazio, (D-OR) , a member of the Homeland Security Committee of the House was denied the right to review COG under Bush.

The reason it is so important for Arab and Muslim people to investigate 9/11 is that the leadership of the American peace movement stands against 911truth. Some like Amy Goodman are polite. Others are less so. All peace activists are antiracist. Goodman and her peers would be mortified if they even considered being impolite to Arab or Muslim people.
One issue that Amy Goodman has yet to explore on her program is whether or not Osama bin Laden is alive. It is fair to assume support for US imperial ventures in Islamic countries would be undercut if it were shown bin Laden had passed.
